The game

Seen at 2:17 is an original, fictional browser mystery. Its characters, organisations, evidence, communications, and events are invented. Any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental. The experience is entertainment, not investigative, legal, security, or forensic advice.

Free and paid access

The first chapter is available as a free playable prologue. A payment of $8.99 USD unlocks the remaining four chapters of Season One after Stripe confirms payment. This is a single charge. Taxes or currency conversion amounts, if applicable, may be shown at checkout.

Where the checkout asks you to request immediate digital access, the paid content can become available as soon as payment is verified. By making that request, you acknowledge that a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right may end once supply begins, to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you.

Local saves and purchase restoration

Game progress and the payment-session reference used to verify access are stored in your browser. Clearing site data, using a different browser or device, private browsing restrictions, or browser updates can remove that local state. We do not promise cross-device sync. If paid access fails to restore, contact us from the email used at Stripe checkout and we will take reasonable steps to verify the purchase.

Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play the purchased content for entertainment. You may discuss, stream, or review the game, including reasonable screenshots. You may not resell access, copy or redistribute the complete game, defeat the payment gate, interfere with the service, probe other users' transactions, or use automated requests that degrade availability.

Availability and security limits

Browser software, hosting services, payment providers, networks, and local storage can fail. We work to keep the experience available and to verify purchases accurately, but cannot promise uninterrupted, error-free, permanently hosted, or universally compatible access. Do not treat the local save or checkout session reference as a secure vault; anyone with access to your browser profile may be able to access them.

Intellectual property

The game's story, writing, evidence designs, code, branding, and visual presentation are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

Liability and consumer rights

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes and governing law

We may update the service or these terms prospectively. New terms apply from the date shown on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, subject to any mandatory protections in your place of residence.
